Drywall (also known as plasterboard, wallboard, gypsum board, sheetrock, or gyprock) is a panel made of gypsum plaster pressed between two thick sheets of paper. It is used to make interior walls and ceilings. Drywall construction became prevalent as a speedier alternative to traditional lath and plaster.
Drywall when installed on steel or wood wall framing; there are other work before and after drywalling, insulation and vapour barrier done before drywall. After drywall or boarding comes with plaster, tape, sand, and prime.
Drywall are installed on walls and ceiling, on ceiling there sometimes a combination of drywall and acoustical ceiling tiles.
